Maury River Middle School Library Policies

Check-Outs & Renewals

Students may check out up to two books at a time. Check-out period is two weeks for books.
Please return books promptly on or before the due date. If you need additional time, you can ask to renew your items. You do not need to have the book with you in order to renew it.

Parent permission is required to check out books from the Young Adult section of our library. Please see the librarian if you need assistance. 

Overdue Books

There are no fines for overdue books. We ask that you please be considerate of other students and return library items on time. Prompt return of books allows other students to enjoy these resources as well. DO NOT lend books that are checked out in your name to another student or depend on another student to return a book for you.

Lost & Damaged Books

If a book is lost or damaged, the book must be paid for before the end of the school year. Payment for a lost or damaged book is reimbursed should the book be found (during the current school year) and returned in good condition.
